[Iridescent Beauty] Trying Swissvita Anti Spot Serum

Hollaaa everyone! This week I will be reviewing Swissvita Anti Spot Serum. In case all of you are wondering, this is not a pay ad review but they did send me the product so that I could review it base on my own opinion. So, without further ado let’s get started!

First thing! About Swissvita. WHERE is Swissvita from?

Swissvita’s story began 10 years ago in 2007 between two skincare labs who successfully combined the essence of European beauty with technological innovations of Asia. We achieve this by using a natural extract known as AC-11. What’s more, we’ve seen visible results from people who’ve used our products in reducing the appearance of dark spots, wrinkles and fine lines.  Taken from their website- https://swissvita.us

So, what’s so good about AC-11?

I’ve read through their website, and it seems that AC-11 is derived from the inner bark of a vine, known as Uncaria tomentosa, which is indigenous to the Amazon. This ingredient has been supported by over 40 scientific studies. Within the research, it’s been found that AC-11® helps the body repair from oxidative stress and exposure to the sun’s UV rays DNA. What does AC11® do:

Reactivates dormant cellular enzymes key to cell regeneration and repair
Boosts production of Collagen 3 that creates softer, smoother skin
Normalizes the expression of proteins (NF-κB) in the cells, reducing inflammation

Now, let’s take a look at SwissVita product packaging.

swissvita anti spot serum
Comes in a small box since the product weighs 15g

The cream is in an aluminum sealed packaging to prolong the potent effects of ingredients, which is good. An a leaflet is tucked inside the box as well for more detailed instructions. Everything is easy to read & understand. Packaging is quite handy since it’s small, it’s easy to carry around.

First step: Take off the lid, bottle cap & red safety ring. You can discard the red safety ring & tighten the bottle cap.

Step two: After re-tightening the bottle cap, place a small pearl size of Anti-Spot Serum and gently smooth over face and neck, avoiding delicate eye areas.

As you can see, I have a few dark spots on my face might be due to the UV rays as I drive & go outdoors a lot. I notice that the cream was not oily & was easy to absorb.

The Features of Anti Spot Serum

  • Formulated with AC-11® and Vitamin B12 for accelerated skin reapir and collagen production
  • Brightens and reduces the look of spots
  • The power of vitamin C
  • Lighter and clearer skin
  • Gentle on all skin types
  • Intelligent packaging with risk-free guarantee

I’ve been using it everyday, and after two weeks, here are my result.

hannah baker

For all of you who don’t know about 13 Reasons Why, 13 Reasons Why is a Netflix series which is adapted from the book written by Jay Asher. It is about the late Hannah Baker, a high school student explains why she committed suicide to her high school peers through a collection of cassette tapes she left behind.

To enjoy this post more, play this song in the background Only You- Selena Gomez

  1. “You don’t know what goes on in anyone’s life but your own. And when you mess with one part of a person’s life, you’re not messing with just that part. Unfortunately, you can’t be that precise and selective. When you mess with one part of a person’s life, you’re messing with their entire life. Everything. . . affects everything.” Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  2. “No one knows for certain how much impact they have on the lives of other people. Oftentimes, we have no clue. Yet we push it just the same.”― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  3. “You can’t stop the future. You can’t rewind the past. The only way to learn the secret  …is to press play.” ― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  4. “A lot of you cared, just not enough.” ― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  5. “But you can’t get away from yourself. You can’t decide not to see yourself anymore. You can’t decide to turn off the noise in your head.” ― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  6. “If my love were an ocean, there would be no more land. If my love were a desert, you would see only sand. If my love were a star- late at night, only light. And if my love could grow wings, I’d be soaring in flight.” ― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  7. “You can’t go back to how things were. How you thought they were. All you really have is…now.” ― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  8. “Sometimes we have thoughts that even we don’t understand. Thoughts that aren’t even true—that aren’t really how we feel—but they’re running through our heads anyway because they’re interesting to think about.” ― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  9. “ If you hear a song that makes you cry and you don’t want to cry anymore, you don’t listen to that song anymore. But you can’t get away from yourself. You can’t decide not to see yourself anymore. You can’t decide to turn off the noise in your head.” ― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

  10. “I wanted people to trust me, despite anything they’d heard. And more than that, I wanted them to know me. Not the stuff they thought they knew about me. No, the real me. I wanted them to get past the rumors. To see beyond the relationships I once had, or maybe still had but that they didn’t agree with.” ― Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

“I guess that’s the point of it all. No one knows for certain how much impact they have on the lives of other people. Oftentimes, we have no clue. Yet we push it just the same” Hannah Baker

The messages that these quotes gave, what have we learnt from it? This is life, this is reality, people around us are experiencing things that we will never know about.

Do you think before uttering out words that may hurt people?

Do you think about how your words might affect people? ( In a negative or positive way)

Do you know how much can a simple word mean to other people?

Is it necessary to utter out those words?

Do you think that by standing in the side lines, doing nothing, helps?

We are all human, we all make mistakes, say things we don’t mean & hurt people that we don’t mean to hurt. From 13 Reasons Why series, we take it as a reminder to think if it’s necessary to utter the words to someone without knowing what are they going through, or even what have they gone through to be here, today.

So, compliment someone today, and everyday, say positive things to them, even if it’s out of the blue. Because you’ll never know how much it could impact them & their life’s.

[Iridescent Food] Mak’s Chee Authentic Wonton

Hollaaa everyone! Introducing Mak’s Chee, famous with its 100-year old recipe from the Mak’s Family, is set to open its second outlet at Pavilion Elite, a new wing of Pavilion Shopping Mall to the public on 1st May, 2017 following the huge success of its first outlet which was opened at 1 Utama last year.  For those people that love Hong Kong wonton noodles, need not fly to Hong Kong anymore as Mak’s Chee has an outlet in One Utama and now, Pavilion as well!

The difference between Mak’s Chee authentic wonton with our local wonton noodles is that Mak’s Chee wonton is made out of 99% sea prawns instead of our local wonton using pork meat.

Story of Mak’s Chee

Mak’s Chee is a quick casual restaurant serving authentic Hong-Kong-style wonton noodles, using a 100-year old recipe from the Mak’s Family.  The Mak’s Chee recipe is originated from a street-side eatery in Guangzhou before World War II by Mr. Mak Woon-Chee, known as the King of Wonton.  The war brought the Mak’s Family to Hong Kong and Woon-Chee’s lineal descendants carried on the recipe and tradition since then.

From there on, the Mak’s name grew in popularity in Hong Kong and the “gold fish shaped” wontons and the special homemade noodles received Michelin’s Bib-Gourmand title.  The recipe was complimented by a long list of famouspersonalities such as the Former President of the Republic of China – Chiang Kai-Shek and Former First Lady Soong May-Ling, the infamous food critic Chua Lam as well as renowned American chef, author & TV host Anthony Bourdain.

[Iridescent Food] Kouzu Malaysia, TTDI

Hollaa everyone! I’m back with a new food review. Kouzu, located at the center of TTDI neighborhood, along the street with other cafes nearby. A mixture of Japanese Tapas Bar & Restaurant, known as Japas.

Parking was quite easy to find as we were lucky to find one right in front of Kouzu. Though weekends might be more crowded as more people come out to chill & dine in Kouzu.

Kouzu Interior

One thing that we’ve noticed when we walked in is the colorful Japanese styled- manga paintings on the walls of the restaurant which we really liked!

Hot green tea for me as I didn’t want to drink anything cold plus it’s better for digestion for all of the food that we will be trying~ ^^

Kouzu Food

Sashimi Salad

My personal favorite appetizer from Kouzu. Perhaps because I’m a big fan of sashimi & I like it as they are fresshhh!

Roasted Pumpkin Salad

An alternative for people who don’t eat sashimi/raw fish. Pumpkins are nice & crunchy, just the way I like it. But of course nothing beats the sashimi, at least in my opinion (teehee).

Pan Seared Tuna Foie Gras

Lovee the texture of the tuna, it is cooked just right combine with the foie gras, at first I thought it was a rather an unusual combination but when I tried it, it blends together very well.

Baked Roll Sushi

Think cheese baked rice + sushi roll. What more can I say?                                         Oishiii!

Creamy Baked Oyster

Total of five delicious succulent oysters covered in cheese topped with masago.. delicious! Enough to share around with your friends (or do I mean friend?)!

Stoned Grilled Sirloin

How often are you served with sirloin steak on a grilled stone served with potato cubes with a sprinkle of herbs & spices on top?  Tender, juicy, deliciousss! One of my personal favorite & for a reasonable price! Definitely a MUST try!

Japanese Escargot Pizza

Good snack to chill with your friends with a glass of beer. Crunchy escargot & look at the massive toppings! Yums!

Salmon Pizza

Another choice of pizza topping, Kouzu’s 4 inch Salmon Pizza. The size is a bit small for me, but great finger food snack. 😉

Sanuki Udon

My favorite pasta dish here! Think aglio olio + udon! A Must try for pasta lovers. Appetizing & a lil bit spicy which I absolutely love~

Ishiyaki Stoned Bowl (Donburi)

Sashimi Top Avocado

Grilled Truffle Beef

Ishiyaki Stoned Bowl (Donburi)– the most fulfilling comfort food in Kouzu. Topped with tender unagi, scallops, vinegared prawns, capelin roe & a runny egg, all perfectly proportioned. As for the Sashimi Top Avocado, well, its sashimi again. Anything sashimi is my favorite! Last but not least in the donburi category, is the Grilled Truffle Beef. Absolutely tender or juicy! The picture tells it all. One of the best Beef donburi I’ve eaten. =)

Kouzu has also a wide range of Yakitori, consisting of Wings, Sirloin, Rock Lobster & Shitake. All very delicious & suitable for snack & chilling. Kouzu’s best seller, the Sirloin Yakitori & also my favorite among all of them!

Pair Kouzu’s Japas food with a wide selections of drinks to chill & dine!

Kouzu Drinks

Feeling thirsty after looking at all the pictures that I tooked.

Take a look at Kouzu’s private dining room! So cozy! You can book this place with a minimum of 6 pax. First come first serve!

[Iridescent Food] Popular Taiwanese Milk Tea!

Hollaa everyone!

I’m back again with another new post. This time I would like to share with you a Taiwanese popular milk tea drink called Chun Cui He!

The other day, my boyfie and I went out for dinner with his friends to a steamboat restaurant at Kepong. So, after chit chatting & finishing our dinner his friend suggested to go to Mix convenience store nearby. We agreed and so we went… and once we entered boyfie immediately saw Chun Cui He milk tea!

So we ended up buying them and boyfie says it is very delicious (he drank it before in Taiwan) so I’ve decided to try it too.

In Taiwan, these Chun Cui He milk teas come in a variety of different flavors such as Green Tea Latte, Sumiyaki, Mocha, Earl Grey Milk Tea, Oolong Milk Tea & many more! However, what we saw in the shelves that day are only Cafe au Lait & Green Milk Tea.

Here are more pictures of me, very excited to try both flavors! <3

Cafe au Lait

Sluurrrpps! After trying the Cafe au Lait, I really loved the rich aroma of the tea in the drink plus the smooth taste of the milk which comes with it is just soooo  flavorful & yumms! In my opinion, Cafe au Lait is suitable for  tea lovers & people who love the stronger scent of tea in their drinks.

Green Milk Tea

We then decided to try the 2nd bottle, which is the Green Milk Tea… After the first sip of the drink, I got hooked! This is definitely my cup of tea! I love it so much as the heavenly taste of the green tea & milk passed through my tongue, I fell in love with the rich, aromatic, full-flavored taste of the drink. You guys have to try this! especially this Green Milk Tea, really yums!

In the end, both my boyfie & I chose the Green Milk Tea as our personal favourite. <3

All of you please try it too! Let me know which is your favorite flavor & what are the flavors that you’ve tried? Comment down below & don’t forget to Follow me on my blog!
